Translated by Paul Monrad. First published 21 Jan. 1950, the first printing was one of 3,000 copies. With original price sticker to inner rear wrapper.
Provenance: From the library of Orwell scholar and former UCL deputy librarian Ian Angus. Angus was the co-editor of Orwell's Collected Journalism, Essays and Letters published in 1968 and also later contributed to editing the enormous 20-volume edition of Orwell's Complete Works published 1997-8.
An acceptable copy, wrappers very worn and spine badly discoloured. Former owner's signature to half title.
