Publication of this volume of the China Year Book was delayed by the outbreak of hostilities in Shanghai, the removal of the Capital to Loyang, and the disorganization of Government Departments from which it was necessary to obtain information. New to the China Year Book for 1932 are summaries of Mr. Justice Feetham's Report to Shanghai Municipal Council, and Chapters on Climate, Sino-Japanese issues, the Yangtze Floods, and Treaty Negotiations and other International Issues. Chapter XXIII contains nearly 150 Documents dealing with events in Manchuria, Tientsin and Shanghai, and including Resolutions of the League Council and Assembly, Reports of the Shanghai Committee of the League, and the text of the Agreement for the cessation of hostilities at Shanghai, signed on May 5.
