Series of six half-tone reproduced photographic cards, not post-card backed, in sepia with images of the 1913 Miner's Strike in Johannesburg. Overall very good. N.p. [Johannesburg], n.d, 1913.
Uncommon series of images showing events in Johannesburg during the labour disturbances on the Rand in 1913. "The Police [vainly] defending Park Station", and "The Ruins of Park Station"; "The Scotch [sic.] Fusiliers defending the Power Station"; "Troops clearing the Crowd from the Rand Club, before firing", the crowd had gathered due to a rumour that the Mine Owners were holding a meeting in the Club, "The Staffords and Medical Corps, leaving the Rand", and "The Funeral of the Victims who were killed."
