The Man That Was Malcolm X.

An wonderful zine devoted to Malcolm X (1925-1965) - the cover portrait alone brims with enthusiasm and pride for the civil rights leader.

Stapled in the upper left corner, the pieces include "TO U Mr. "MAN"" by Charles T. Brown; "Putney Swope" by Jamal and Deborah Parker; "Who Rules America"; "What Malcolm X Means to Me!" by Emmanuel Garrison; "Books on Malcolm X"; the poem "Black Not White"; "The Spread of Communism" by Manuel Garrison; "Black People Get Ready!!" by R. S. Jenkins; and "Message to Black Man" by Deborah Parker.

The most recent book in the bibliography is Peter Clarke's Malcolm X, The Man and His Times, which was published in 1969. We estimate the publication date of this zine on that basis as well as Deborah Parker's review of the 1969 film, Putney Swope.

It's hardly a surprise that a work like this doesn't appear on OCLC, it also escapes broad internet searches.
