Official Programme of the Triumphal Entry of the Guards into London, Wednesday, July 9th, 1856.

Two copies of this attractive single-sheet, 19½" x 8". One copy on ordinary white paper stock, this tipped onto part of an album leaf, slight adhesion damage leaving a small hole, but with the missing part still attached to the leaf, creased from old folds. The other copy on pink paper stock, creased from old folds, slight sunning at one fold, but otherwise very good. No imprint, 1856.

Scarce, not in NSTC, or apparently in BLPC. We have been unable to trace any other copies of this item.

Contains the text of the "Official Memorandum of the Arrangements to be adopted on the Occasion of Her Majesty reviewing the Brigade of Guards on their Return to London from the Crimea."

Accompanied by a copy of the admission ticket permitting "the Bearer and Party to pass through the Line on the 9th of July, 1856". With the printed facsimile signature of Richard Airey, whose conduct of commissariat and transport as Quarter-Master General at Horse Guards was subject to a military enquiry at the close of the campaign.
