This copy inscribed, "For D.C. Watt from Arthur C. Murray (Elibank, 1952). Murray succeeded his brother as 3rd Vicount Elibank in 1951. Murray had served in China in 1900, on the NWF and on the Western Front in WWI, MP for Kincardineshire, 1908-23, Director of the LNER from '23-48.

Taped in at the front is a 4pp. selection of comments on the pamphlet. Watt, Professor of International Affairs at the LSE has added his own pencilled, not uniformly positive, remarks to the margins.
