Each sketch with a manuscript caption in English, some dated: “Roman aqueduct near Tarragona”; “St. Antonio’s Tower, Malta”; two views of Mount Etna; a view of Mount Scuderi; “Light House of Messina”; “Papa’s house at Messina”, as well as “View from above the house”; two sketches on the coast of Sicily; the town of Alicant, as seen from the bay, dated 1812; “Ruins of a Castle at Alcala di Xivert”; “Bridge over the Glen near the Pass of Ordal 17 miles from Barcelona”, dated 1813; “Bridge over the Llobregat, said to have been built by Hannibal”, dated 1813; an unnamed village “on the Road from Villa Franca to Barcelona”; “Head Quarters at Esplugues near Barcelona”, dated 1814; and one unfinished sketch.
