Large 8vo. Eight mounted photographs on seven leaves with lettered overlays, folding list of ships of the Home Fleet and folding coloured map at the rear. A rear blank slightly torn without loss, otherwise very good in the original Navy blue calf binding, ornately gilt with title and Royal Arms to the upper board and the Admiralty fouled anchor device to the lower board, watered silk doublures with gilt dentelles, a.e.g. 18pp. Private and Not for Publication, 1907.

A delightful item which should be compared with item 529 in our catalogue 1291, this being without the mounted coloured post-card style illustrations. This version produced, or at least adapted for this specific visit with details of itinerary and plan of the route that the party took through the dockyard. Dreadnought was launched by the King in February 1906 and underwent her major trials early in 1907, much of the visit was preoccupied with this great new weapon and the construction of the second of the class Bellerophon.
